  Great views over the lake. The food is usually good. Occasionally we get cold food, but I think it's more the fault of the wait staff forgetting about us. I think you're paying a little extra here for the view.

  4 tables in the dining area at 6:30 on a Friday night.....our appetizer took an hour to get to the table. Simple presentation, and adequate taste at this point in the evening. We asked for our child's meal to come with the appetizer, and it didn't (see above: an hour for food with a 6 year old). The dinner was cold, house salad had an awful dressing. There was a loud function booked in the room next door, which might have slowed down dinner service. However, none of this was communicated to us. Our poor server was thrown under the bus that night - we didn't even see a manager attempt to help make the night easier for any of the waitstaff. I don't know what kind of manager would allow reservations for a time they clearly were ill-equipped to handle. In the future, The Beacon should not offer a Prime Rib and Lobster night if it cannot commit to providing quality food and service. We hope to return to the lovely waterfront location, once we hear news of new and improved management.

  We have eaten breakfasts here many times before, the food and service have always been good, but have always meant to try your advertised Prime Rib Dinner. We went last Saturday after kayaking in Jordan Harbour. We were seated in those very comfortable seats right by the window overlooking the harbour. Sipping on our drinks looking out over Lake Ontario was good enough but how would the dinner be? My God, we will be back many times over. The prime rib was done to perfection, the small portion was more than enough for my wife and I. Mouthwatering and tender, with extra juice/gravy(just the right amount) on the plate, thinking about it now makes me want to go back at this moment to have a helping, even though it is only 10 am in the morning. My wife had the garlic mash potatoes with hers while I got perfectly roasted potatoes. The vegetables were, I believe, called julienne carrots.
  Whenever you are craving a slab of prime rib, for a mere $21.00, I highly encourage the Ramada Beacon, because you will not be disappointed...a very satisfied customer.

  We come here once a month, usually have the prime rib or a seafood special. Very quiet, relaxing, food is above average. Great menu selections. Great service, and the view is amazing.
